Simon Community Scotland \
#StayWarmStaySafe / Ad Campaign /

Leading the AKA Scotland concept team, we were tasked by the homeless charity Simon Community Scotland to create a public communications campaign for them and their sister charity, Street Work, highlighting the dangers of hypothermia for rough sleepers in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

#STAYWARMSTAYSAFE headlined all communications, which were split into two campaigns: Campaign 1 was aimed at both the general public and rough sleepers, highlighting the six key warning signs of hypothermia. Using a cooled-down version of the Simon Community colour palette, with the signs arranged around a thermometer graphic ominously dropping in temperature. While campaign 2 targeted rough sleepers directly, reinforcing the message “Stay Warm Stay Safe.” Sticking with the chilled brand palette but paired with a bold ice-block typeface to visually reflect the harsh reality of ignoring the campaign’s message.

Alongside the creative, we also developed a media strategy to get the message out across key touchpoints including high-impact out-of-home ads, digital channels, local press, and an informative multi-fold self-help leaflet circulated directly to rough sleepers across both cities.
